Terms of Work

These Terms of Work outline how Ink Elves Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides services to clients (“you”, “your”).
By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms listed below.

1. How to Place an Order

To begin a project, email us at hello@inkelves.co.uk with:

  • Your brief

  • Word count or project scope

  • Any reference links, brand guidelines, or client notes

  • Your deadline (if applicable)

We’ll review the details and confirm:

  • Project feasibility

  • Turnaround time

  • Price

  • Any additional information required

Work begins once everything is agreed.

2. Turnaround Times

Our standard turnaround time is 5 working days.

Large projects or multi-article batches may require longer.

We will always confirm the turnaround time before starting.

If you need a quicker delivery, we may be able to offer a rush service depending on availability. Additional fees may apply.

3. Ownership of Work

You own full rights to all work once full payment has been received.

Before payment, all work remains the intellectual property of Ink Elves Ltd.

We reserve the right to display non-confidential samples in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.

4. Revisions

We offer revisions under the following conditions:

  • Free revisions are provided if we have:

    • Not followed your brief

    • Made factual, grammatical, or structural mistakes

    • Misinterpreted clear instructions

  • Chargeable revisions apply when:

    • The brief changes after the work is completed

    • You request a different direction, tone, angle, or structure

    • You ask for additional content not in the original brief

    • You request edits after more than 14 days from delivery

Revision fees will always be discussed and agreed before work begins.

5. Scope of Work

All work is completed according to the brief supplied at the time of ordering.
Any changes to the brief may impact the price or turnaround time.

Examples of scope changes include:

  • Increasing the word count

  • Adding new topics or sections

  • Changing the tone of voice

  • Switching target keywords

  • Asking for additional versions or formats

We will always confirm any extra costs in advance.

6. Payment Terms

Invoices are sent on the last Friday of each month. They must be paid in full by the due date stated.

For new clients, payment may be required upfront.

Late payments may delay future work or result in suspension of services.

No rights transfer until payment is completed.

7. Accuracy & Responsibility

We write content based on:

  • The information you provide

  • Publicly available sources

  • Standard industry research

You are responsible for fact-checking final work before publication.

We cannot be held liable for errors resulting from outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate information provided by you or your end clients.

8. AI Editing Work (If Applicable)

For AI editing or AI detection compliance services:

  • We do not guarantee 100% accuracy on any AI detector (no tool is fully reliable).

  • Our goal is to improve human readability and reduce detectable patterns.

  • You retain full responsibility for verifying content before publishing.

9. Confidentiality

All briefs, internal documents, and client information are treated as confidential.

We will not share, publish, or reuse your materials without permission.

10. Communication

All project communication should take place via:

  • Email (preferred)

  • Shared documents (Google Docs, Word, etc.)

For clarity and accuracy, project instructions must be provided in writing.

Verbal instructions cannot be guaranteed.

11. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a project:

  • No fee is charged if work has not yet begun

  • If work has started, you will be invoiced for the portion completed

12. Our Right to Decline Projects

We reserve the right to refuse projects that include:

  • Illegal or harmful content

  • Hate speech

  • Plagiarism requests

  • Topics outside our professional scope

  • Unreasonable deadlines or demands

This protects both our team and the quality of our work.

13. Updates to These Terms

Ink Elves Ltd may update these Terms of Work from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
